Clicking

The Saints were in mid season form tonight.

I am not saying that the team that they played did not have something to do with it.

The facts are that the offense did whatever it wanted to. As evidenced by the fact that there were several times in the game that they ran reverses and each time they made positive yardage. The first, second, and third team offenses all scored. Jermon Bushrod played well, again, while replacing Jamal Brown. They ran the ball well.

On defense, they manhandled the Raiders. Gregg Williams blitzed all night long and there was pressure. The Raiders could not gain yardage against the Saints first team offense.

The coaching was impeccable. It seemed that both Payton and Williams called the right plays at the correct times. It seem like they were in the heads of the Oakland coaches.

It was a very good night.
