We were not sure how good this Saints defense really is. The first week was against a team that had not won a game in a year. Last week was against a team that was missing their starter at quarterback and, supposedly, had the number one defense in the league.
This week was a bit different. This, by all accounts, was a solid team with most of its component pieces healthy. We beat them into the ground.
Sure, we did not run away from them but we won big enough.
On the offense, we crushed them, on the ground. There was 224 yards on the ground. The rushed thirty-eight times for a five point five per rush average.
The defense played extremely well. They shut the Bills out. The mixing of the defensive fronts was impressive. Their rush defense was very impressive.
They are a very balanced team.
