Cracked

The upright and virtuous image that the Dallas Cowboys put forth over the years, in my opinion, no longer exists.

This image stemmed from the fact that they had Roger Staubach on their team.

The image should not have been propagated because of the fact of the events that were chronicled in the movie North Dallas Forty.

Then came the early to mid 1990's. You saw a lot of drug related events happen with the team which culminated in Michael Irvin being indicted on drug charges and having to go to court.

Sure, they won three Super Bowls through it all, but I think that it hurt their reputation.

The arrogance is, what I believe, what has caught up to them.
