Why Ask Why

When the New Orleans Saints make player-personnel moves, I have learned to ask the question of “Why Ask Why?”

This came from a beer commercial in which the statement was “Why ask why, try Bud Dry.”

When they cut a player I automatically assume that there is a very good reason why and it will be leaked sooner or later.

In the case of the the drafting of players, I have, again, learned not to question them. Sure it may take a few years (Robert Meachem, Jermon Bushrod) for them to develop, but once they do, it seems these players have produced.

It seems that this will extend to rookie fee agents. I think a handful will make either the roster or the practice squad.

So, when they either bring in someone or cut someone that might raise an eyebrow, until it comes back to burn them, do not question the move.
