Joe Alleva, the current Louisiana State University athletic director has currently made and could be soon making lists of candidates for the for both head coaching jobs for both of his basketball programs.
He recently fired his ladies basketball coach, Van Chancellor and could soon do the same with his mens coach, Trent Johnson.
I believe that he has been talking to his candidates for the womens post.
I, also, believe that there could be an unstated ultimatum that will be stated at the end of the season. We are looking for improvement in the mens program. If it is winning the NIT of getting to the NCAA Torurnament and winning a couple of games there.
Some people will say that the NIT is not important, and usually they would be correct, but in this case, they would not be. The reason for this is that it would be showing a marked improvement from where they have been in the last couple of years.
With Trent Johnson, we will have to see what happens.
