Truth One Of The 25 Undeniable Sports Truths

(1-There will always be “levels” coaches. (Example- Jim Mora)

There is a definite rule that states that an NFL coach loses his effectiveness after the sixth year of his career. The reason for this is that if a franchise tries to keep a group of players together with the same group of coaches, minus the fact that an assistant coach will get a head job, the situation will stagnate.

I sometimes think that it is a good idea to let some of your long term veteran players go. Players get use the coaches actions and speech patterns are not good for team chemistry.

It is always a good idea to add new players through the draft and free agency. The problem comes when you have a coach that does not believe in using the draftees. Then there are the general managers that trade their drat picks for veteran players.

All of the previous reason will end up making the coach a levels coach. The word levels means that he wil get his team to a certain point but no further.
