I was recently listening to WJBO. On that station, one of the hosts had mentioned that the New Orleans Saints had sold out their season tickets. That same host said,
“I guess that the recession is not affecting New Orleans.”
He does not understand that much like most college football towns, Saints fans make it a point to find money to go to the game. This is the main reason why I think that every time Tom Benson blusters on about moving the team, it is just that. He knows that the Saints are woven into the fabric of the city. If he moves the team, it would be like ripping the heart out of the city.
