Another Championship Team?

The New Orleans Hornets are one of only two perfect teams in the National Basketball Association.

I have watched a few of their games and the impress me. They seem to have corrected their defensive problems.

In remaking their team, the front office and head coach have correct the main problem that has been plaguing the team over the last several years. They have put people around Chris Paul that can run with him and can score.

Last year, there were just a few players on the team that had the ability to do this. Other than those particular players, this was a slow and plodding team.

They have also improved their bench.

Last year, there was only Marcus Thornton and Darren Collison on said bench. Now, Thornton has Willie Green, Jaryd Bayless both of whom can score. There is Rookie, Quincy Pondexter, Pops Mensa-Bonsu, and Didier Ilunga-Mbenga who are athletes and more than good defenders. Lastly there is Jason Smith, who is just a solid player.

I forgot to mention starters Marco Belinelli and Trevor Ariza. They give the starting lineup scoring punch and better athleticism then it has had in the last couple of years.

Can the Hornets win an NBA title?

It is a long season and we will see.
