Sure high school “recruiting” is wrong but it is a fact of life.
There is another fact and that is this:
The LHSAA does not have the manpower to go after all of the offenders.
If there is a question about a certain school then that school should be reported. If that school is not reported then they will not get investigated.
Here is a good example:
[In Plaquemine there, since St. John has built their program, there has always been rumors and accusations on how the Eagles got so good so fast. It should tell you something about the matter that there has not been a report on St. John.
It all really go going about the time when Eric Willis coached at St. John. The reason is that his brother Brian has been a long term official on the Iberville Parish School Board. The theory goes that Brian was helping Eric recruit players away from Iberville parish public schools.]
In the case of White Castle, that school has boing down for years and even the African-Americans who go there seem to want out.
It is sad to say, but recruiting is a part of life especially for Private and Parochial schools. This is the way that they get students to come to the respective schools.
